A Complete 3 Day Detox That Will Cleanse Your Body from Sugar, Help You Lose Weight and Boost Your Health

Obesity and weight gain must be one of the most common health issues nowadays resulting from modern society and the consumption of fat and carbs.

Oftentimes, gaining weight can come from excessive consumption of sugar, especially when you can find sugar in almost every drink and food nowadays.

Still, our bodies need sugar so they can function in a proper way and they use it as fuel. However, not every bit of sugar is used, so, what is left is stored as fat. Therefore, if we consume too much of it, it will accumulate in our hips, waist, thighs, and face.

The sugar that you can find in the processed products is in high-fructose or fructose corn syrup, which is much cheaper than the regular one and it is processed to many time. Moreover, it is 20% sweeter than the table one.

The professor of the Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of California which is also a pioneer, Dr. Robert Lusti claims that our body needs 6 teaspoons daily in order to function as it should. However, we are having problems due to the fact that we are consuming more than that amount because of unhealthy diets. So, this way fat starts to accumulate, causing chronic metabolic diseases.

Excessive Intake of Sugar

Here are the things that the excessive intake of sugar is causing:

  • Damages and overloads the liver
  • Leads to weight gain
  • It is affecting leptin and insulin signaling, therefore causing insulin resistance
  • Elevates the uric acid levels, therefore increasing the risk of kidney and heart diseases
  • Since it is causing metabolic dysfunctions, it can cause high blood pressure, increased LDL and decreased HDL levels, abdominal obesity, high blood sugar, as well as increased levels of triglycerides

Thus, if you are a person that likes sugary foods, it will be very hard to avoid them. If you stop eating them, you will suddenly face fatigue, sadness, headaches, and food cravings.

However, you do not need to avoid all of the food products. You can start cutting them one by one. So, try the following plan we are offering you.

3 Day Sugar Detox Plan

Day 1

Breakfast: A cup of oats and seeds, berries or almonds, with 3 boiled or scrambled eggs.

Snack: A cup of nuts.

Lunch: Chicken breasts with some cooked turnips, carrots, beans, almonds, parsnips, beets, squash and butternut.

Dinner: Salmon with fried mushrooms and broccoli, or some broiled fish with a bowl filled with green beans.

Note: It is of great importance to drink plenty of water (65-100 oz/2-3 liters a day)!

Day 2

Breakfast: A cup of oats, berries, seeds, almonds with 3 eggs and spinach.

Snack: A cup of nuts.

Lunch: Have some grilled zucchini with red and yellow peppers along with lemon, vinegar dressing, and thyme, or simply go for green or red shredded cabbage salad, with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, chopped parsley and carrots.

Dinner: Green veggies, steamed and cooked with some veggie casserole, along with a bean soup, or simply go for a stir-fried bok Choy with baked cod, and some turnips and roasted Brussels sprouts.

Note: It is of great importance to drink plenty of water (65-100 oz/2-3 liters a day)!

Day 3

Breakfast: A salad with sauteed kale, walnuts, and radish, with a 3 egg omelet along with some shrimps, or you can replace the salad with a cup of seeds, almonds, and berries with some oats.

Snack: A cup of nuts.

Lunch: Roast chicken with black olives, thyme, and onions, or simply go for roasted chicken thighs, with rosemary, sage, and lemon.

Dinner: Brown rice and penne pasta with some tomato sauce, mushrooms and basil, also a good option is garlic, carrots, thyme, celery, and onions, along with some mushrooms and bay leaves.

Note: It is of great importance to drink plenty of water (65-100 oz/2-3 liters a day)!

You can also drink a cup of black coffee without sugar or just some green tea while you are doing this plan. You can also mix fresh mint tea, oranges, rosemary, strawberries, grapefruits, and blueberries to detox!

We all know how delicious sugar is, but, if we consume it in bigger doses it can be harmful to our health. If you knew how it impacts your body, you would never see it the same. In fact, there are many red flags our body sends us if we consume too much sugar, and today we will show them.

7 Signs You Are Eating Too Much Sugar

1. Lack of Energy and Tiredness

If you are feeling tired and fatigued most of the time, this means that you are having too much sugar in your diet. Naturally, these foods boost the carbohydrates and give you energy, but this is only temporary. So, if you are feeling tired most of the time, check to see if you are consuming too much sugar.

2. Carb/Sugar Cravings

If you are craving sugar all the time, it is more likely to become a sugar addict. So, if you cannot have a moment of not consuming carbs, then you will be very addicted to sugar.

3. Frequent Flu and Cold

If you are ill all the time, this can be due to too much sugar in your diet. So, every virus will find you and make you sick. Sugar weakens the immune system and makes your ability to fight flu, colds, viruses and chronic disease weaker.

4, The Brain Gets Foggy (Especially After Meals)

Fog represents low blood sugar. If you are having too much of it, then the levels of blood sugar rise and fall rapidly, instead of gradually. Thus, poor control of sugar is a great risk for impairment and cognitive problems.

5. Nothing is as Sweet as It Used to Be

If you eat too much sugar, it will make the taste bud tolerance of sugar go up and your body will need it more. Therefore, when the taste buds need sugar to feel sweet, it can be really difficult to lower the base level. However, if you cut back a bit, you can lower the tolerance again. Moreover, you will taste things as too sweet and you will be able to feel sugar in moderation.

6. Feet and Skin Problems

When you consume sugar, it will cause an inflammatory effect on the body and it will cause some inflammatory problems on the skin. So, if you suffer from excessive dryness or oiliness, eczema, rosacea or acne, it could be the sugar’s fault. Thus, you would need to cut a bit with it to improve skin problems.

7. Weight Gain

Excessive consumption of sugar also means more calories. This is due to the fact that sugar does not have fiber or protein and it does not make you full, so you continue to eat. Therefore, this can trigger insulin release, which is a hormone important for weight gain. If you consume the sugar, the body produces more insulin and this will lead to insulin resistance. What this means is that the body will not be able to respond to normal insulin amounts as it should and it will not be able to use the sugar correctly. Thus, this would lead to weight gain and overworking of the pancreas. With this much work, you can develop diabetes.

As you can see, sugar can be very harmful to your health, thus, make sure you consume it moderately.
